Library Card Policy:
Getting a Card
Bring photo ID with you to the circulation desk. If your current address is not listed on your photo ID, please bring a recent bill or official mail.
Cards must be renewed anually.
Minors (12 & under)
For minors under 13, a parent or guardian must show a photo ID and proof of Iowa address for a library card as they are responsible for fees associated with their child’s card IF the minor cannot provide complete and accurate information to complete the registration process
Without a parent/guardian present, minors may be issued a card with a two-item limit until a parent/guardian is notified. If, when notified, you are unwilling to accept financial responsibility for your minor’s library materials, contact the Library and we will cancel the card.
There are no age restrictions for borrowing or using library materials and resources. Because we value confidentiality, access to information on a child's account is only available to the minor.
Card Types
Residents
People living in Tiffin, or rural Johnson county are eligible for a resident card.
Non-Residents (Open Access)
Amana, Coralville, North Liberty, Oxford, and most other Iowa residents may obtain an Open-Access library card.
Student/Teacher
Individuals thare are considered Student/Teachers that are part of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District

Circulation Policy:
Overdue Library Materials
The library will not charge overdue library fines.
If a material is not returned, or is marked lost at the end of the fiscal year, the material will be charged to the account. The charge will remain on the account until the material is replaced or another arrangement has been made according to the financial/personal needs of the patron.
Selection Policy
The selection policy of the Springmier Community Library has been adopted, whenever possible, from the Clear Creek Amana School District.

If a request for reconsideration is made, the objector MUST complete and submit this form.
